David Hains of OpenFile Toronto wrote a piece about Toronto's history with waste water treatment and on the subject of myself and Rivers Forgotten.
I was on NewsTalk 1010's Live Drive program on December 29th with host Wilf Dinnick. We briefly discussed the what and why of Rivers Forgotten and Toronto's lost waterways.
Rivers Forgotten is now available to buy in Toronto at Chapters at John and Richmond Streets, and The Beguiling comics bookstore at 601 Markham Street.
I'm having some issues with Paypal but will put up an announcement when books are available to buy through this site.
For those in Toronto, I'm having a launch party on January 18th at the Holy Oak Cafe located at 1241 Bloor Street West. I'll make a post on this closer to the date.
I just finished an interview with fashion blogger, Jen Tse. It can be read on her site, TseSay.
One last order of business, I'm currently writing up a supplement to Rivers Forgotten. I'll be going through each photo and sharing some memories, historical facts, anecdotes and how I set up some of the shots. This will be available in PDF format to download through this site.
I'll be going to New York City on December 3rd for the Brooklyn Comics and Graphics Festival with my publisher, Anne Koyama, and a handful of some great artists also published under Koyama Press.
If you're in town, drop by our table and say hellos!
Also, stay tuned for details on a Toronto book launch.
For now, save the date: Wednesday, January 18th, 2012
In association with Librarie Drawn & Quarterly, I'm please to announce out Montreal launch on November 17th at 211 Bernard O.
Join me for an evening of informal discussion in a city of subterranean riches.
